Oil-Teq 5 is an oil repellent glove with superior cut and abrasion resistance for use in high risk environments. A stalwart of the Tornado range, it has many unique qualities and anyone who uses it regularly will be well aware of every single one of them.

Always strive for perfection!

Our product development team always strive for perfection and in 2018 they revisited the design spec for our Oil-Teq range and made a number of significant improvements. As glove of the month for February, we have the opportunity to talk about some of these improvements and refresh them in everyone’s mind.

Softer and more supple...

The dip formula was improved to offer a much softer, more supple, two-layer coating. This new formulation made the glove far more flexible which vastly increased dexterity and comfort. Wet grip was also considerably maximised with no detriment to the gloves’ oil and water repellent qualities.

Increased flexibility...

The increased flexibility in the coating was matched by increased elasticity in the yarn. We developed a strand that will expand and contract to a greater extent to allow the knitted fabric of the glove to become far more elastic.

This new elasticity is intensified in the cuff where new construction allows even more stretch. We now see a huge improvement in comfort, hand agility, the fit.

This glove offers high-level cut and abrasion protection and has Sharp-Shield ballistic reinforcement between the thumb and forefinger.
